North Country Horse’s Summer Horse Camp

A Fun, Safe, and Confidence-Building Experience for Young Horse Lovers

Do you have a horse-crazy kid?
Is your child eager to ride—or simply excited to spend time around horses? North Country Horse’s Summer Horse Camp is the perfect place for young equestrians to learn, grow, and have fun.

About the Camp

Our Summer Horse Camp is open to children ages 6–12, with no prior horse experience required. Campers will learn the fundamentals of horse care, safety, handling, and riding in a supportive and encouraging environment. Along the way, they’ll build confidence and develop lifelong skills such as responsibility, independence, and decision-making.

Camp Sessions & Dates

  • Session 1: July 20–21, 2026

  • Session 2: August 10–14, 2026

What Campers Will Experience

  • Daily hands-on horse care, grooming, and tacking

  • Daily mounted riding sessions, with instruction tailored to each camper’s comfort and skill level

  • Unmounted horsemanship activities focused on safe ground handling

  • Demonstrations by advanced riders in disciplines such as jumping, reining, and dressage

  • Arts and crafts or optional barn activities in the afternoons

  • Themed dress-up days, including Western Wednesday and Funky Fun Friday

Camp Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

  • 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Campers should bring a bagged lunch each day

What to Wear

  • Long pants and boots or shoes with a heel for riding and horse activities

  • Campers may bring a change of clothes for unmounted activities

Important Information

  • Open to children ages 6–12

  • A signed North Country Horse Riding Release Form is required prior to the start of camp

  • Summer Camp programs are non-refundable and non-transferable
