About Our Horse Show Series

NCH strives to provide a safe and fun Horse show environment that is stress free for Both riders and their families.

one of our goals is to introduce new riders to the competition side of riding. We hope to motivate riders and to help them set and achieve goals that are focused on furthering their riding abilities and excelling in competition!

Must have 3 entries in class for points to count for series end awards.

Divisions below may include one or more of the following class types:

Showmanship - Judges evaluate the grooming of the horse and the expertise of the exhibitor in presenting the horse to the best of their ability. Pattern will be posted the day of the show.

Open Classes - Riders can use these classes to school over fences, otherwisew schooling is not permitted over fences in the show arena. There will be schooling fences available.

Equitation - Rider is judges on position and their ability to ride correctly with subtle, effective aids.

Pleasure - Horses are judged on quality of movement, consistancy of their gaits, and pleasant, relaxed attitude.

Performance - Riders are evaluated on their ability to complete judge's performance requests. Request's may be to perform at an etended gait, demonstrate a half-seat or sitting position at the trot or jog, or answer individual questions related to horsemanship.

Jumpers - Will be run Table. LL, Sec 2.1 No Jump Off, Timed First Round.

USHJA Outreach Classes - earn points toward year-end rewards and awards, and to earn the chance to participate in the prestigious USHJA National Championships. Riders and trainers competing in Outreach classes do not have to be USHJA members. To be eligible for USHJA Outreach points and year-end awards, riders must be a USHJA member (Outreach level or higher). Horses are not required to be registered with USHJA or microchipped to compete in Outreach classes.  However, horses wishing to accrue points toward year-end Outreach awards must be registered with USHJA and microchipped. USHJA Horse registrations are available for $20/annual or $75/lifetime.

$6.00 per Horse/Rider Combination

$15 Office Fee
